Internet star Tobermory Cat dies

A CAT that became an internet sensation for lazing around one of Scotland's most picturesque coastal towns has died.

The Tobermory cat, made famous after artist and photographer Angus Stewart began documenting his comings and goings in Tobermory, on the Isle of Mull, is thought to have been struck by a car.

The ginger tom became famous after hundreds of fans started to follow his website and Facebook page showing him sleeping on cars, at the harbour and visiting local hotels.

His owner, Graham Brown, is the manager of the local distillery.

Mr Stewart said: "It is very sad. He lived a fantastic life at the Tobermory Distillery. Mrs Brown was kind enough to visit me to tell me the sad news this morning."
