Some islanders on Islay and Jura have been without their mobile phone signals for more than two weeks.
A week ago after complaints that Vodafone's mast on Islay had been out of operation for 10 days, Alan Reid, LibDem MP for Argyll and Bute called on the company to act to restore signals but yesterday the fault had not been rectified.
A Vodafone spokeswoman said: "We're sorry some of our customers locally have experienced signal problems. Our engineers are on site and we hope to get the service up and running as soon as possible."
