Kirkwall lifeboat rescues trawler

A LIFEBOAT spent five-and-a-half hours rescuing a trawler which lost power off the east of Orkney.

Kirkwall Lifeboat towed the Inverness-registered Acorn, and the six people on board, into Kirkwall, on Saturday. The pilot boat Kirkwall Bay assisted while the boats were on the final approach to Kirkwall Pier.
