Labour's Lord Macaulay dies aged 80

Lord Macaulay of Bragar, a Scottish lawyer and Labour peer, has died aged 80, it was announced today.

Lord Speaker Baroness D'Souza told the House of Lords that Lord Macaulay had died on June 12.

He was given a peerage in 1989 and spoke on Scottish legal affairs in the Lords for Labour when they were in opposition in the 1990s.
