A HOGMANAY party attacker has been jailed for five years and four months after a woman fell 15 feet when she jumped from a broken window to escape him.
Michael Newlands had threatened to murder his victim and grabbed her by the throat before she struggled to her feet. Selena Jeffrey, 27, jumped out of her living room window and sustained serious injuries.
