Motorcyclist killed in crash named

A motorcyclist who died after a collision with a van has been named by police.

Ellis Robb, 20, was riding the motorcycle on Balgownie Road in Aberdeen when it was involved in a crash with a Transit van at about 5.55am yesterday.

He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but died a short time later, police said.

The van driver was uninjured.

Police Scotland appealed for anyone who witnessed the collision to contact them.
