ANTI-wind farm groups have complained to church leaders after an MSP poked fun at Donald Trump by invoking Monty Python's parody of religion, Life of Brian.

The Green Party's Patrick Harvie posted a still from the 1970s film showing a row of "Christs" on crosses, with the words: "I am the evidence", which relates to Mr Trump's Holyrood testimony that he was the "evidence" of wind farms' impact on the tourist trade.

Communities Against Wind Turbines Scotland also alleged Mr Harvie gave a two-fingered gesture to the tycoon as he left the committee room, claiming the MSP had "demeaned his office" and should apologise.

Mr Harvie said the Twitter post was "tongue in cheek" and that he would take Mr Trump's evidence as "seriously as it deserved to be taken".
