THIS is the first picture of Declan Hainey, whose body was left to rot for months after he was murdered by his mother.
The toddler, who was last seen alive aged 15 months, was deprived of food and drink and left in squalor as drug addict Kimberley Hainey went out drinking and taking drugs.
Hainey, who was yesterday sentenced to at least 15 years in prison, then left his body decomposing in a cot at their Paisley flat as she continued to live there and sold his belongings to buy drugs.
Declan's grandmother Elizabeth Rodden, who discovered the body, had argued publication of the picture was an infringement of her human rights, but Judge Lord Bonomy ruled it was a significant addition to the story and should be revealed.
