Scottish Cycling, which is published by the Herald & Times Group, owners of The Herald, will cover all aspects of cycling from mountain biking and road rides to easy paced family days out.
It will be available from major bike retailers, outdoor shops, leisure centres and schools throughout major cities including Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee and Stirling.
The Sunday Herald will also insert a free copy into its northern edition, covering Perth, Dundee, Inverness, Aberdeen and the Islands.
It also comes in a free digital e-edition to mobile and tablet devices. It is aimed at the beginner to intermediate rider, but will occasionally cover more strenuous rides too.
Publisher Darren Bruce said: "Following Britain's recent successes at the Tour de France and the London Olympics, we anticipate that cycling in the UK will continue to go from strength to strength.
"The launch of Scottish Cycling now bridges a gap in the market that helps visualise Scotland's beautiful landscapes from two wheels, whilst encouraging everyone to become fit, active and healthier."
