Night at the theatre

FIRST Minister Alex Salmond was given a red-carpet welcome normally reserved for movie stars when he attended the Glasgow Film Theatre.

The SNP politician was taking part in an evening event – called Geek Night – hosted by the Lanarkshire-born award-winning comic book writer Mark Millar.

During the event, which is part of the annual Glasgow Film Festival, Mr Salmond revealed to an audience what he likes watching on the big screen.
