Old College to screen films in the open air

ONE of Edinburgh's architectural masterpieces will be transformed in to an open-air cinema.

The University of Edinburgh's Old College quadrangle will host a week-long series of film screenings including Trainspotting, Whisky Galore!, Shrek and Ghostbusters. The films will be beamed on to the wall of the 200-year-old law school.

Film in the Old College Quad, which will take place from 17 to 23 August, is presented by the University in association with the Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Other cult films to be screened include Edinburgh-based romantic comedy One Day and Scottish crime caper Restless Natives.
