An elderly man has died following a fire at a nursing home.
The 78-year-old was a resident at Balhousie Care Home in Dundee, where a small blaze broke out yesterday morning.
He was taken to Ninewells Hospital where he died earlier today.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
Firefighters were called to the residential home in Clement Park Place after a fire started in a first-floor bedroom at about 1.15am.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal as is standard with all sudden deaths.
