A press photographer has been seriously injured after falling as Andy Murray arrived at Dunblane Cathedral last night.

Gordon Jack, who is in his 40s, is thought to have fallen on a stone in the graveyard as Murray was greeted by a media scrum, when he entered a rear entrance for his dress rehearsal with Kim Sears.

Mr Jack, who runs his own agency from Linlithgow, was treated by paramedics shortly who were called to the scene at around 4.38pm. He was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert. There was no further update on his condition.

Friends and colleagues of Mr Jack sent messages of support via social media. An ambulance service spokesman said: "We received a call to the cathedral and have taken a patient to hospital."
