Police have launched a probe after human remains were discovered at an industrial site.
The gruesome discovery was made at Dale Avenue in Cambuslang yesterday afternoon.
Workers digging in the area reportedly made the discovery, and now detectives have launched an investigation.
The area has been cordoned off while enquiries continue.
A police spokeswoman said: " Police Scotland can confirm that enquiries are underway following the discovery of human remains found at dale avenue in Cambuslang on Tuesday April 7.
"Further examination of the remains will be carried out and a search of the area is currently underway.
"Officers are conducting enquiries to establish the identity and circumstances surrounding the discovery."
