A HOLLYWOOD zombie movie starring Brad Pitt which transformed Glasgow into Philadelphia has called in a new scriptwriter after a series of problems in the run-up to its release.

World War Z, which resulted in streets around George Square being flooded with American cars and US street signs during filming last autumn, is to get a rewrite.

Damon Lindelof, writer on TV series Lost and Ridley Scott's Alien prequel Prometheus, is believed to be working on the climax.

So far reshoots are planned to take place in Budapest. It's not known if the production will return to Glasgow.
