Scot charged with four murder bids

A SCOT has appeared in court charged with trying to murder four people in County Antrim.

The charges are connected to an incident on Monday in Newtownabbey when several people were treated in hospital for stab wounds.

Craig Binnie, 41, who lives in the town, was also charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

Binnie, originally from Scotland, was remanded in custody at Belfast Magistrates Court.
