Six artists selected for BBC project

The BBC has chosen six Scottish artists to explore its archives to create their own artworks inspired by classic and lesser known shows.

The selected artists are Kate Davis, Kathryn Elkin, the Turner Prize-nominated artist Luke Fowler, Torsten Lauschmann, Alia Sayed and Stephen Sutcliffe.

They will work with BBC Scotland, Creative Scotland and the Lux arts agency to create Artists and Archive: Artist Moving Image at the BBC, and will produce six new moving image works to be hosted at bbc.co.uk/arts, and around the country.

Jonty Claypole, BBC Productions, said: "We were bowled over by the quality of artists in Scotland."
