A man has been detained in connection with the rape of a teenage girl in Dunfermline.
The incident is believed to have happened in the Kingseat Road area of Halbeath between 6pm and 8pm on Thursday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Investigation into the incident is ongoing and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have information."
High visibility patrols will remain in the area to provide reassurance to the public, the force said.
