A TEENAGER has been left with serious injuries after she was struck by a bus, the second such incident over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.

The 19-year-old woman was hit in Queen Street, Broughty Ferry, at around 4pm on Monday. She was taken by ambulance to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The latest collision follows the death of a 50-year-old pedestrian, who was struck by a bus in the car-park of a store in Kilmahog, near Callender, on Saturday evening.

Following the incident in Broughty Ferry, the road where it occurred was closed for the evening to allow accident investigators to work unhindered at the scene.

There were diversions in place and police appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101.

On Saturday, a woman was injured in the car park of the Trossachs Woollen Mill. She was airlifted to the Southern General Hospital, where she died later from her injuries.

Police described it as a 'terrible incident' and have appealed for witnesses.
