GAIL Porter fears she will not marry again because she is "43 and bald".

The television presenter, once married to Toploader guitarist Dan Hipgrave, said she suffers from insecurity and the feeling she is "a funny-looking thing".

After going through divorce, alopecia which caused her to lose her hair, and a bipolar diagnosis, she warns men when she meets them that there will be days "it goes a bit wrong".

Speaking in BBC Radio Scotland's Funny Kind Of Love, to be broadcast next week, she said she gets on well with Hipgrave, who is now remarried, but fears she will not wed again.

She said: "I am now thinking 'I am 43 and I am bald - it is not going to happen again now, is it?'.

"I am really insecure and I do not think I am attractive in the slightest so I have a real insecurity problem when it comes to dating.

"I always think I am a funny-looking thing.

"When I did rehab I did not speak for four weeks because I did not think I was important."

Porter described how she suffered a breakdown after her hair fell out and the death of her mother in 2009, and how she was sectioned for 28 days. And she insisted she was never a sex addict.

Funny Kind Of Love is on BBC Radio Scotland at 1.30pm on Tuesday.
