University memorial

Kwik-Fit founder Sir Tom Farmer is joined by a student wearing a vintage nurse's uniform at the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the spot where Queen Margaret University was founded 200 years ago.

Louisa Stevenson and Christian Guthrie Wright's achievement at 5 Atholl Crescent in Edinburgh was marked yesterday with a plaque on the wall of the building marking the origins of the university. Student Sarah Stewart, who is studying Stage and Screen, wore the uniform as she joined Sir Tom.
