A woman was taken to hospital after a group of young people pushed over a portable toilet while she was inside.
The 27-year-old was knocked unconscious when the cabin was tipped up in a park in Dalbeattie, Dumfries and Galloway, on Saturday night.
Police are now searching for the people responsible.
The victim was one of hundreds of people who had gathered in the park to see the fireworks that marked the end of the town's gala week celebrations. She was rescued by passers-by and taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for a check-up, before being discharged.
Police investigating the incident are keen to trace the youths, although no descriptions are available.
A spokesman said: "The incident could have had more serious consequences."
