A WOMAN has appeared in court charged with murdering a man with a glass.

Natalie Scott, 26, was in the dock for a preliminary hearing yesterday at the High Court in Glasgow.

Scott is accused of killing James Dornan at a property in Maitland Crescent, Stirling, on March 4 this year.

It is claimed the 33 year-old was struck repeatedly on the head and body with a glass and a broken glass or similar item.

Scott also faces an accusation of attempting to defeat the ends of justice.

She is said to have washed blood-stained clothes and footwear to avoid arrest for the alleged murder.

Scott pled not guilty to the charges.

Judge Lord Bracadale adjourned the case until a further preliminary hearing next month.
