Amazon depot in Gourock evacuated after reports of a suspicious package
An Amazon depot in Gourock has been evacuated after reports of a suspicious package being found on site.
Emergency services were called to the Faulds Park plant around 5.15am on Friday morning.
Hundreds of staff were evacuated and a cordon has been put in place around the premises.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "Around 5.15am today police received a report of a suspicious package found at a depot in Gourock.
“Emergency service are in attendance and the premises has been evacuated as a precaution.
"A cordon is now in place.
“The item will be examined and enquiries are ongoing.
“EOD have been called to the scene."
