Last year, Scotland’s quota was reduced to one and with defeats from Rotterdam (6-0) and Irish champions Pembroke Wanderers (4-2) this season, Kelburne failed to make up ground on the countries above. The result is the Scots remain in tenth position and they still require to jump two places in the EHL charts to be awarded another club for the 2010-2011 campaign.
Meanwhile, at the Happy Valley stadium in Hong Kong, Scotland’s veterans returned to winning ways in the International Masters tournament. The under-50s defeated the hosts 1-0 while the over-40s beat Malaysia 3-0.
