Roof jump causes commuter chaos

COMMUTERS in Edinburgh faced rush hour chaos after a man jumped on to the roof of Waverley station.

North Bridge was closed to pedestrians and traffic after 6pm yesterday while police and emergency services negotiated with the man.Trains into the station were also temporarily halted until the man was taken by ambulance to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary under police escort.
