AT least nine people are believed to have been killed and nine others injured when a Syrian warplane struck targets near the country's border with Lebanon.
A Lebanese security official confirmed the air strike and said it targeted the rebel-held Syrian town of Yabroud.
Meanwhile, United Nations experts are investigating allegations rebels killed dozens of Syrian soldiers in a village near Aleppo after they captured it from government troops, an incident that could amount to a war crime.
