ATHENS:

A cameraman walks next to a destroyed road after flash floods hit the Greek city of Argos on the Peloponnese peninsula on Sunday evening.

Fire brigade units from throughout the Peloponnese region were called to Argos, 100 miles south of Athens, to help people in the city following heavy rain and thunderstorms. A 55-year-old woman died after becoming trapped in her apartment when a wall collapsed. Nearby rivers burst their banks and damaged farmland.
