BEIRUT: A Lebanese Christian political leader and ally of Shi'ite group Hezbollah has survived an assassination attempt for the fourth time.

Michel Aoun, head of the Free Patriotic Movement (FPM), was returning to Beirut on Saturday evening when shots were fired at one of the cars in his convoy in the mainly Sunni city of Sidon.
