I stopped reading your fashion pages long ago for the same reason that your correspondent last week (Letters, December 9) condemns them.

It makes me so angry that an otherwise great newspaper features luxury items with obscene price tags, especially just now. Also, unless your core readership is under 25 I doubt if much of the actual fashion would be of interest.

On a cheerier note I really look forward every week to hearing what Tom Shields and Susan Swarbrick have to say, as well as Iain Macwhirter and the always slightly grumpy Ian Bell. I do find Alan Taylor's delivery gets a wee bit tiresome though when he reverts to his "Och aye the noo" groove.

I do love buying your paper despite the above moans.
