Stuart Morrison writes that John Murry "suffered horribly" because of the acoustics at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum (Celtic Connections review, The Herald, January 25).

The headline act, The Cowboy Junkies, had no such problem.

Perhaps because they were well-prepared, accomplished musicians with good material.

By contrast, Murry's band seemed never to have met each other before the gig, and Murry appeared to have scant regard for neither his material nor the audience.

It was the audience that suffered, not because of the acoustics, but on account of Murry's shambolic performance.
