YOUR editorial ("It is unwise to cut funding for Gaelic broadcasting", The Herald, November 27) is spot on. This Westminster cut follows on from Amber Rudd's speedy demolition of the previous Energy Secretary's work to remove the unfair 2p surcharge on the unit price of electricity levied on the northern half of Scotland.

Despite the fact that David Cameron holidays in Jura, northern Scotland sadly now seems to have dropped below the radar of his ministers.
