Wildly wrong
WITH reference to the correspondence on the Creag Riabhach wind farm (Letters, December 7), I have to say I was surprised that it has been approved. I lived in Sutherland for around 10 years in the 70s and 80s and have a considerable attachment to the area.
It could be argued that much of the area is somewhat degraded through over-grazing, indiscriminate burning and in places, inappropriate siting of forestry. But the land is remote, has very few features of built development, and low levels of light pollution; if this is not “wild” country what is?

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
