The Scottish Green Party says it expects to see the number of its councillors "swell" at the local elections next month.

MSPs Patrick Harvie and Alison Johnstone made the prediction as the party set out its ambition in a national manifesto launched yesterday.

Policy themes across Scotland include plans to improve insulation of all homes, bring in a "living wage" of £7.20 an hour for council staff and a push for 20mph zones to make streets safer.
