Billy Bragg is one of the speakers at Imagination:

Scotland's Festival of Ideas, which runs from September 5-7 in Glasgow.

It brings together a wide range of speakers and topics at this crucial moment in Scotland's history and development.

Discussions range from the referendum to the state of the media, inequality and the economy, gender politics, the importance of empathy, the role of small nations in the world, cultural change, the state of radical Scotland, the future of Britain and the crises it faces, to Scotland after the vote.

Other speakers include Will Hutton, Fintan O'Toole, Janice Galloway, Madeleine Bunting, Joyce McMillan, Iain Macwhirter, John Harris, Karyn McCluskey and many more. The festival also includes eight musical acts and bands, a DJ set, film, and lots of other activities.

Taking place in Glasgow at Govanhill Swimming Pool and Studio and the Glad Café, Imagination is a non-partisan, non-aligned gathering, organised by Gerry Hassan and Roanne Dods. It is supported by the University of the West of Scotland and PAL Labs. The Sunday Herald is the main media sponsor.

Tickets for the weekend are £30 for a ticket without music and £40 with music, while individual tickets for sessions can be bought for £5.
