STRANRAER tightened their grip on third place as they stretched their unbeaten run to 11 games in all competitions with a resounding win over the team immediately below them.

Martin Grehan was a double hero for the hosts, taking his tally for the season to 10.

Stephen Aitken's men fired six past Ayr at Somerset Park in November and they resumed where they had left off when Sean Winter steered the opener past David Hutton after 14 minutes. Grehan netted his first of the afternoon from the penalty spot just after the half hour following a foul by Alan Lithgow.

Grehan made it 3-0 from close range two minutes into the second half after good work by Andrew Stirling. The midfielder added his own name to the scoresheet when he struck from inside the box two minutes later.
