THE West Bromwich Albion player Saido Berahino has denied he will be taking legal action against his team-mate, the Scotland internationalist James Morrison, after last weekend's dressing room bust-up.

The midfielder is reported to be the player who punched Berahino after the 3-3 draw at home against Cardiff City. West Bromwich were leading 3-2 in stoppage time when the striker gave the ball away and Cardiff surged up the field to equalise. The Midlands club, battling to avoid relegation, played down the dispute and decided against disciplinary action.

Berahino said: "I am not taking legal action against any team-mate. I am only focusing on Saturday's game at Norwich."

Richard Garlick, the club's sporting director, added: "The club has drawn a line under the matter. We have seven important games coming up and Saido, along with the rest of the squad, has a big part to play in them."
