THE announcement by Livingston that they want to become a community owned club left the Livi for Life Supporters Trust baffled as to why they were not party to the negotiations between Supporters Direct Scotland (SDS) and the club that led to Tuesday's statement.

The press release stated that the club had asked SDS, who help fans gain influence in the running of their teams, to help explore ways to become a fully owned community club.

Livi for Life Trust board member Don Paul said: "The announcement came right out of the blue. It's not a bad idea, but I thought Supporters Direct were meant to engage with the fans."
