Mark Beck is revelling in the opportunity to link up with Rory Loy at Falkirk as the pair attempt to lead the club back into the top flight through the play-offs.

It is the first time that the forwards have played alongside one another, despite both playing for Carlisle United between 2011 and 2013.

Loy has since signed permanently at the Falklirk Stadium, while Beck is on loan from Carlisle. They have combined well, such as when the latter scored an equaliser in the first leg of a play-off semi-final tie against Hamilton Academical.

The forward is confident that he has belatedly shown a good understanding with his strike partner. "We were at Carlisle together but didn't play many games," said the striker. "In fact, I don't think we were ever picked together at all. He is a fantastic guy to play alongside and we've struck up a good understanding."

Darian MacKinnon has shown a shrewd appreciation for the play-off tie too, acknowledging that his Hamilton side should be out of sight. "If we had won the first leg four or five-one then nobody could have complained about the result," he said. "We were magnificent."
