Olympic qualification: Maximum of 30 in team including top two in every event who have achieved Olympic qualifying time

Tuesday:

Men's 400m freestyle: The freedom fighter and the self-professed eco-warrior kick things off as, respectively, Dan Wallace (22), Warrender, flies in from the University of Florida to get into near immediate action, along with Stephen Milne (21) City of Perth and both will be in the mix but Millfield’s James Guy goes in as favourite

Women's 200m freestyle: Camilla Hattersley (21) City of Glasgow, was dominant in the freestyle events at the Scottish nationals and is entered here but is not expected to swim in as many and finds herself up against the classy Welsh swimmer Jazz Carlin in everything from this distance upwards

Men's 100m breaststroke: excitement levels will be cranked up as local boy Michael Jamieson (28) Edinburgh University, the Olympic 200m silver medallist, desperately tries to find his form in a field that sees Commonwealth Games 200m gold medallist Ross Murdoch (22) and his fellow Stirling University student Craig Benson (21) looking like much better prospects of contending, albeit England’s Adam Peaty is a big favourite

Women's 400m Individual Medley: The boundlessly energetic Hannah Miley (28), Garioch, goes into the event and pool in which she won Commonwealth gold as clear favourites with England’s Aimee Wilmott expected to push her closest

Wednesday:

Women's 100m backstroke: Kathleen Dawson (18) Warrington Warriors, is Scotland’s best hope but there are several strong English contenders

Men's 200m butterfly: Cameron Brodie (23) University of Stirling, goes into this with the fastest time, while Sean Campsie, from neighbouring Stirling Swim, could also contend

Men's 100m backstroke: First appearance for Craig McNally (23) Warrender, but his best chance will be later in the week with English pair Chris Walker-Hebborn and Liam Tancock expected to take the places here

Women's 800m freestyle: Another appearance for Hattersley… but also for Carlin, while Edinburgh-based Englishwoman Keri-Anne Payne should have decent support and is second favourite

Thursday:

Men's 100m freestyle: Robbie Renwick, now considered a ‘veteran’ at all of 27 and teenage Stirling University team-mate Duncan Scott are the top home hopes but their best chances of Olympic involvement may be in the relay with Benjamin Proud and Calum Jarvis expected to pip them for individual selection

Women's 200m butterfly: Another real qualification chance for Hannah Miley who has the second fastest time among the contenders

Men's 400m individual medley: Dan Wallace goes in as firm favourite

Friday:

Men's 200m breaststroke: Peaty is favourite again but huge Scottish interest with Murdoch, Jamieson, Benson and Calum Tait (22) Edinburgh University - who just missed out on making it a Scottish clean sweep of medals in this event at the Commonwealth Games when finishing fourth, all expected to make the final.

Men's 1500m: Stephen Milne is expected to lead the way among the endurance brigade

Saturday:

Women's 400m freestyle: Miley is set to contend again, as is Hattersley, but the rest of the field is likely to trail Carlin by a distance

Men's 200m individual medley: Wallace is favourite again with Pavoni once again set to give him his biggest challenge

Womens 200m individual medley: The tireless Miley has another big chance of medalling but Siobhan-Marie O’Connor is favourite and Wilmott will be there or thereabouts too

Sunday:

Women's 100m breastroke: Edinburgh University pair Kathryn Johnstone (25) and Corrie Scott (23) can both challenge but O’Connor is again favourite

Men's 200m backstroke: McNally’s best chance as he goes in with the second quickest time behind Englishman Luke Greenbank

Men's 200m freestyle: England’s James Guy and Wales’ Calum Jarvis look set to be the pace-setters in the finale but will be chased by a posse of Scots comprising Renwick, Wallace, Scott and Milne
