HIBS have reportedly offered former Celtic manager Neil Lennon a deal to take over at Easter Road and could make the appointment within 48 hours.
Alan Stubbs left the Edinburgh club for Rotherham United last week after taking them to Scottish Cup glory but failing to earn promotion to the Premiership.
The Scottish Sun have now reported that Hibs constructed an offer last night for Lennon and are now waiting for the the Northern Irishman's response.

The 44-year-old was most recently in charge of Bolton Wanderers and won three SPL titles and two Scottish Cups with Celtic between 2011 and 2014.
Hibs have considered alternatives such as Malky Mackay but identified Lennon as their number one choice and hope to confirm his appointment within 48 hours.

Lennon has been out of work since March and is believed to be excited by the prospect of a European campaign with the Hibees, after they earned qualification to the Europa League qualifiers with their cup win.
There were talks on Friday between the manager, Hibs chief executive Leeann Dempster and director of football George Craig, when the ex-Bhoys boss demanded a written contract offer before deciding on his future.
