Stevenson impressed in his half-season spell with Ayr United
DUMBARTON have announced that Ryan Stevenson has joined the club after an impressive half-season spell with Ayr United.
The attacking midfielder moved to League One in January from Partick Thistle and scored seven goals in 18 games for the The Honest Men.
Stevenson brings vast experience, having started his career at Chelsea before representing St Johnstone, Hearts, Ipswich Town, Partick Thistle and Ayr United in four separate spells.
The signing of the versatile 31-year-old has thrilled his new manager Steve Aitken.
He said: "I've been chasing him since the season finished and I'm delighted that we have signed a big name player at Dumbarton.
"He'll bring quality and experience to the squad."
