Celtic captain Scott Brown insists bravery will be key to success against Barcelona at Parkhead on Wednesday night.
The Hoops were beaten 7-0 by the Catalans in their Group C opener at the Nou Camp in September and sit bottom of the section with two points and needing a win in their final two fixtures to give them a chance of playing European football after Christmas.
Brown revealed Brendan Rodgers was trying to get the Scottish champions to copy the best aspects of Barcelona and hopes they can put that philosophy into action in the return leg.
The midfielder said: "They just seem to be getting better and better, the way they play is fantastic it's great to watch.
"It's all about how we can control our patience and relax and try to keep the ball the best we can because that is their game and that is what we want to try and get up to.
"The way the gaffer wants us to play as well, it's pretty much based on the Barcelona way.
"We know we can play, well we just need to be patient with the ball and be brave as well.
"It is bravery on the ball. They are going press us up the park, which is what we plan to do as well.
"We have to try pretty much, (when they) bring their game to us, you have to take it in tight situations with two or three players and be able to play one-twos around them.
"We just have to minimise them to as less chances and as less touches of the ball as we possibly can.
"We have got to believe in ourselves and attack them when we can and hopefully create a few chances here and there."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
