GREG Tansey believes Aberdeen are just getting started after beating Hamilton in their league opener, writes Matthew Lindsay

The English midfielder, whose free-kick into the visitors’ box set up Anthony O’Conno for a goal in the first half, feels that proves the Pittodrie club, who take on Hamilton away in the Betfred Cup tomorrow night, have the resources they need to cope with what will be a punishing league programme.

There are plenty of options for the gaffer. It keeps everyone on their toes. There are a lot of players who can fill in and do various jobs.

Aberdeen, meanwhile, and Europa League opponents Apollon Limassol have both been hit with UEFA charges following the disturbances which marred the second leg of their third qualifying-round tie.

The Dons face two disciplinary charges over “crowd disturbances” and “no stewards travelling with supporters.
