Andy Irving has departed Hearts to join Turkgucu Munchen in Germany.

The midfielder rejected the opportunity to remain at Tynecastle to try his hand in 3. Liga.

It is understood Hearts are to receive an undisclosed training compensation fee having brought Irving through the academy.

Irving's new club Munchen described the player as a "talented playmaker from the island". The midfield ace has represented his country at under-17 and under-19 level.

He made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Jambos last season including both domestic cups and the Scottish Championship.

A Hearts statement read: “The club wishes Andrew the best of luck with the next chapter of his career.”
