Big-hitting Oli Hairs has been drafted into the Scotland squad as an injury replacement for Andy Umeed.

Hairs, 32, will join the camp in Dubai for the remaining two matches of the current WCL2 series against Canada and UAE.

The left-hander has made just five ODI appearances but boasts 20 T20I caps, having smashed a career-best 127no against Italy in the short format last summer. He had already been named in the squad for the T20 series against UAE that follows the WCL2 matches.

Unlucky Umeed heads home after breaking a finger in last week’s defeat to Canada – his first international appearance for seven years.

Meanwhile, Forthill has been confirmed as the venue for the Saltires’ home WCL2 series against Namibia and Oman in May.

The historic Broughty Ferry venue was first used by Scotland in 1913 for a match against Northants.
