Rangers could receive a significant transfer windfall should PSV Eindhoven pull off a permanent move for Malik Tillman.

The Bayern Munich midfielder is on loan at the Eredivisie club but chiefs are keen to make the move permanent.

Director of football Earnie Stewart told ESPN: "Yeah, I'd say that's fair. That's more than fair.

"Both players are players that have done fantastic for PSV Eindhoven and yeah, I can say that we hope that both players stay."

And any transfer fee could see Rangers receive a kick-back of the profits after Tillman's stint at Ibrox.

The Ibrox side reportedly received a £1m fee in compensation from Bayern Munich after the Bundesliga giants pulled out of a deal to sell Tillman to Rangers.

Then manager Michael Beale was keen on a move for the USA international but Bayern reneged on an agreement which could have seen Tillman move to Ibrox full-time.

And as part of the compensation package, Rangers are entitled to a further ten percent sell-on for a future transfer fee.

It's reported Tillman could cost PSV Eindhoven £12m to make his move to the Netherlands permanent. That would mean a tidy £1.2m windfall for Rangers.

However, an agreement between PSV and Bayern Munich is not yet a done deal - meaning the player could still return to the German club on the conclusion of his loan.

Tillman, though, would be keen to make the full-time switch to PSV Eindhoven if Bayern Munich accept a transfer offer in the summer.

"It's more up to the clubs than it is to me," said the midfielder.

"I would be happy if I stay, but yeah. It's up to Bayern and it's up to PSV."
