Caledonia Gladiators made it a double scoop in March with two of their stars receiving deserved recognition.

Head coach Gareth Murray and star player Quade Green won the British Basketball League’s Molten coach and player of the month awards respectively.

Scotland's only pro-basketball team won five of their six games during a gruelling month, as they maintained their strong run of form against Newcastle Eagles, Manchester Giants, Leicester Riders and Surrey Scorchers.

American guard Quade Green, 25, who only joined the side in February, has wowed supporters across the division, but especially at home in East Kilbride. He's averaged an impressive 25.6 points per game.

“It’s great for the club to receive recognition such as this and reflects just how well the team has been playing recently," Murray said. “Quade’s been incredible since he joined, and really added another dimension to our team in recent weeks.

“We’re now looking to build on this as we reach the critical end of season fixtures.”
