THE Commonwealth Games will bring a new confidence to Scotland, it has been claimed.
Ross Martin, chief executive of the Scottish Council for Development and Industry, said the event had helped to shift perceptions from the traditional focus on the country's industrial heritage and highlighted a rich and varied cultural scene to a worldwide audience.
