Celtic coach Darren O'Dea won't be the next Inverness Caledonian Thistle manager.
The former Ireland international had been a top target for the Championship club with an approach made to Celtic over talks.
However, it's now understood O'Dea won't be taking the management position in the Highlands.
A source close to the Celtic B team coach has stated O'Dea was flattered by the approach made but the 36-year-old has decided it's not something for him at this stage.
Instead, O'Dea will remain in post at Celtic with Inverness chiefs set to move on to other candidates in their recruitment search.

The decision comes as a huge boost to the Celtic hierarchy with the club reluctant to lose O'Dea and ready to put up a fight to keep the coach.
O'Dea began coaching at Motherwell under-18s after ending his playing career.
Months later he would head to Celtic to take up the position of under-18 manager before being promoted to B team boss in October 2021.
Caley Thistle are bottom of the Championship after taking one point from their six five matches.
Dodds and his assistant Barry Wilson, who played more than 350 times for the club, had their contracts terminated after a dire run - which continued with defeat to Dundee United this weekend.
